Painted collage based on a still from the documentary ‘I’m in love with Pippa Bacca’ (2019) by Simone Manetti, which follows the Italian artist Pippa Bacca and her friend Silvia Moro on a performance called Sposa in Viaggio (Brides on Tour), a journey that spread across several European countries. The project would end in a tragedy.
The painting depicts Pippa and Silvia laundering cloths after washing the feet of local midwives, as part of the performance.
