I hästhagen ligger stora saltblock, 2024
Oil and spray paint on canvas, stained wood
In Japan everything tastes sweet and umami. Even the seaweed lacks salt. Selma is thinking about walking around with little soy packets in her pocket so that the salt will always be close by. In mom’s horse pasture, large salt blocks lie, molded by the horse’s tongue. If Selma were a horse she would never stop licking.
Exhibited at Galleri Verkligheten, Umeå (2025) in group show ‘Svidande ögon bländande ljus’ .
